BACABS Collection
Bacabs Collection combines modern design language, primitive aesthetics and Sculptural feels.
The inspiration comes directly from the Icons of Brutalist Architecture in Latin America, such as the Guatemalan Institutional building designed by architects José Montes Córdova and Raúl Minondon: the decorative East and West facing façades highlights the Mayan heritage while the concrete structure reflects the Brutalist materiality and a utilitarian design approach.
In each piece of Bacabs Collection, lines and colours and materials embrace a contemporary design for a multi-purpose object, while the core concept pays honor to the Guatemalan cultural heritage.
In particular, the four Bacabs God are the focal points of the collection, which celebrates the pre-Hispanic deities responsible for holding the weight of the Sky, through the fine ability of Italian artisans, precious textures and bold materials.
